At SMJPS, the students and the teachers strive constantly to make any enterprise a success, be it in the field of Science, technology or an IAS activity on awareness about Environment and issues related to it, they have surpassed glory with pride and forever smiling faces.

On 17th Dec 2019, a Skype session was organised by the students of SMJPS in collaboration with Alkawthar High School, Beirut, Lebanon on Environment and various issues related to it. It was a very interactive session in which students of both the countries asked various questions on different environmental issues.
Students of classes IX and XI conducted the whole session enthusiastically and answered all the questions asked by the students of Alkawthar High School, Beirut.

Power Point Presentation
The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people. It is for all of us to understand and appreciate the diversity of various cultures, people and nations.
To sensitize the students regarding this diversity, the students of classes IX and X were encouraged top prepare a Power Point Presentation on the countries of India, Spain, Japan USA and France. Six teams comprising of three students each worked on collecting the information regarding the festivals of the above stated countries.
Working under the guidance of the computer Science Teachers Ms. Seema Vigh and Ms. Mamta Chaudhary, the student s were asked to prepare a power point presentation of 12-14 slides showcasing the various, festivals, traditions, art and culture of the countries in focus.
The wonderful presentations filled the audience comprising the students of classes IX and X. The participants came out with amazing presentations and their effort was quite visible…

George Bernard Shaw said ‘There is no love sincere then the love of Food’
Food binds people together. It is an essential feature of any festivities .To enlighten the students regarding the various kinds of dishes prepared for various festivals in India, Spain ,Japan, France and USA , an inter House competition was organised for the students of classes VI and VIII. The students of all the teams enthusiastically participated, researching, finalizing and arranging for the dishes of the counties allotted to them.
All the teams worked under the guidance and supervision of the Home Science Teacher Ms. Aaradhana Bhattacharya and the English Teacher Ms.Vandana Jain.They guided the students regarding the ingredients of the various dishes and also told them about the nutritional value of their contents.

“BEAUTY IS THE ILLUMINATION OF YOUR SOUL”

If that beauty can be illuminated using homemade organic cosmetic products, then it is truly an icing on the cake. Everybody wants to use products that are healthy for their body and skin and nowadays people are more aware of using organic products.

Students of SMJPS showcased their talent by preparing organic cosmetic products in an Inhouse Activity on ‘Organic Ideas – Gateway to Global Health’ on 27th Nov 2019. 








The students of classes IX and XI enthusiastically participated under the guidance of Guide teachers – Mrs. Archana Ahuja, Mrs. Vidhu Trikha and Mrs. Ritika Handa. The activity was conducted in the chemistry lab of the school.





Students were divided into four groups and they were assigned different tasks. They prepared rose water, face cream, hand sanitizer and face pack using the different herbs available in the Herbal Garden which was planted few months back in the school premises.…

HISTORY THROUGH MONUMENTS - STORIES ETCHED IN STONES

A Skype session was held with GHS 79/10-R Khanewal, Pakistan on 25th November 2019.
Students of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India were shown a Power Point presentation showcasing a visit to various monuments in Lahore by students of GHS Khanewal, Pakistan.
The student anchor from GHS, Khanewal enthusiastically showed students the Minar-e-Pakistan and the important parts there. 
















He particularly pointed out the importance of Devar – e –Khas which showed contouring of Pakistani National leaders. He gave an elaborate description of the grave of the famous poet Allama Muhammad who is also famous in India for having penned the song ‘ Saare jahan se     acha’.

ART MOSAIC – A CULTURAL BLEND
Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India in collaboration with G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan organised an interesting Interactive Teaching Learning Process under the ISA action plan – Art Mosaic – A Cultural Blend, on 21st November 2019.

A team of students of classes IX- XI along with Art teacher Mrs. Preeti Ahluwalia of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India painted different paintings based on Madhubani Art form using a canvas, paint brush and base colours like red, yellow, blue, green etc.

Student representative Aashima Sondhi of class X explained important points on Madhubani Art Form with the help of a Power Point presentation. She also gave information about the history of Madhubani Art Form, shapes used in the particular art form and demonstrated the step by step procedure of making the Madhubani paintings to the students of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan.

FLOWER MAKING

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a progress. Working together is a success.

It was indeed this mantra of working together that brought Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India and Govt. Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan together for an International Interactive Learning Process under the ISA Action Plan – Art Mosaic – A Cultural Blend.

Ms. Fatima Mehboob, ISA co-ordinator of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan in collaboration with ISA Co-ordinators Mrs. Roopali Sinha and Mr. Amit Kushwaha conducted an interesting interactive Skype session on flower making on 21st November 2019.

The event was graced by our intelligent Headmistress Mrs. Geeta Oberai. The session commenced by exchanging warm greetings from both sides. The students of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan delivered an elaborate demonstration on flower making to the students of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India.
