HISTORY THROUGH MONUMENTS - STORIES ETCHED IN STONES ISA Activity – 6 A Skype session was held with GHS 79/10-R Khanewal, Pakistan on 25 th November 2019. Students of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India were shown a Power Point presentation showcasing a visit to various monuments in Lahore by students of GHS Khanewal, Pakistan. The student anchor from GHS, Khanewal enthusiastically showed students the Minar-e-Pakistan and the important parts there.  He particularly pointed out the importance of Devar – e –Khas which showed contouring of Pakistani National leaders. He gave an elaborate description of the grave of the famous poet Allama Muhammad who is also famous in India for having penned the song ‘ Saare jahan se     acha’.      He waxed eloquent about the beauty of the Badshahi mosque which was built by the Mughal emperor Aurangazeb. He pointed out the beauty of the wall and roof of the Shahi Quila.

ART MOSAIC – A CULTURAL BLEND

ISA Activity – 2 ART MOSAIC – A CULTURAL BLEND Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India in collaboration with G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan organised an interesting Interactive Teaching Learning Process under the ISA action plan – Art Mosaic – A Cultural Blend , on 21 st November 2019. A team of students of classes IX- XI along with Art teacher Mrs. Preeti Ahluwalia of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India painted different paintings based on Madhubani Art form using a canvas, paint brush and base colours like red, yellow, blue, green etc. Student representative Aashima Sondhi of class X explained important points on Madhubani Art Form with the help of a Power Point presentation. She also gave information about the history of Madhubani Art Form, shapes used in the particular art form and demonstrated the step by step procedure of making the Madhubani paintings to the students of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan. FLOWER MAKING Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a progress. Working together is a success . It was indeed this mantra of working together that brought Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India and Govt. Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan together for an International Interactive Learning Process under the ISA Action Plan – Art Mosaic – A Cultural Blend. Ms. Fatima Mehboob, ISA co-ordinator of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan in collaboration with ISA Co-ordinators Mrs. Roopali Sinha and Mr. Amit Kushwaha conducted an interesting interactive Skype session on flower making on 21 st November 2019 . “THE ART OF COMMUNICATION IS THE LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP” Under the able guidance of the Principal Dr. Racchna Saddi, students of Sumermal Jain Public school participated whole heartedly in a collaborative activity on different Art forms. The art form taught was – Warli, a folk art from the State of Maharashtra. It was an interesting and interactive Teaching – Learning Process under the ISA action plan Art – Mosaic – A Cultural Blend. Ms. Fatima, ISA coordinator, along with her team of Govt. Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan was contacted for Skype session followed by a video call on 20.11.19 at 10.15 a.m. The session began by exchanging warm greetings from both sides. ORGANIC IDEAS: GATEWAY TO GLOBAL HEALTH

HERB PLANTATION DRIVE ACTIVITY 1 ‘And God said ‘Behold ‘.   I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meal. Students of SMJPS, under the mentorship of the Principal Dr. Racchna Saddi organised a Herb Plantation Drive on 25 th October 2019. The aim of the drive was to make the students aware of different kinds of herbs and their usage and medicinal benefits. The students planted the herbs grown in different countries in colourful pots and displayed them. Their gleaming eyes conveyed a very positive message. Students of classes VII and VIII were divided into four teams representing four countries – India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. The students collected the data related to different herbs, their usage and benefits from different sources like internet, newspapers devotedly and sincerely.
