BRAINSTORMING SESSION ON GROWING IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS


An in-house activity on growing importance of organic products was held on 31st Aug’19 with cent percent participation of class VI students of SMJPS. The venue of this session was the lively Indira Devi Auditorium. This session was designed so that the kids learnt a lot about the importance of chemical free product in their daily life.

Students were divided into four teams representing the countries of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and our own motherland India. The kids had dedicatedly collected data related to the topic with the help of internet, newspapers, journals and magazines.

The aim of this session was to make the students aware about the need and importance of inculcating the habit of using chemical free products instead of using chemical based products.

 In this, the team of students highlighted - leading and certified organic brands of these countries along with their implications and usages. They also presented the data depicting the percentage rise in demand of chemical free product and consumer awareness on it.

The session was graced by the presence of our able headmistress – Ms. Geeta Oberai and other teachers - Ms. Neetu of the Social Science Department, Ms. Preeti, our Art teacher, Ms. Shailja and Ms. Karishma Economics teachers and ISA coordinator – Ms. Roopali who enthusiastically participated in this session.

 At the end of the session, questions were raised by the teacher Incharge  Ms. Shweta Sapra,Business studies teacher and the students of four teams.  The questions were answered promptly by the active audience who provided additional inputs and brainstormed on the organic products. Some  of the doubts pertaining to the use of the organic products of the audience were clarified by the teams and teacher incharge making the session a huge success. Through the brainstorming session, the students garnered a lot of information about organic products available in India and its neighbouring countries.

Young minds lit up the auditorium and kids took home the message to buy more organic stuff and to disseminate this learning to their family and friends..
