Organic ideas: Gateway to global health
Making
posters and write slogans (31/7/19)
In
accordance with the ISA action plan, an in-house activity was conducted with
the students of grade VI on the pressing need of adoption of chemical free or
toxic free lifestyle. The pupils from grade VI (four section) enthusiastically
assembled in capacious Indira Devi auditorium of SMJPS in large number to pen down their ideas
on the growing importance of organic products in the form of slogans and sketch
colour filled posters.
This
session was aimed to help students to gain understanding of the dangers
involved in using chemical based product and appreciate the benefits of
imbibing more natural commodities.
Initially
the students were sensitized about the issue by showing a power point
presentation which highlighted the
dangers of using genetically modified ingredient, success
rate of Sikkim which has been declared as 100% organic state and how the kids
act as an agent to bring a change in the society from switching to nature based
goods.
Live
organic products were displayed and shown to the students to support the fact
that better and healthier substitutes to chemical laden product are readily
available in the market. Samples of organic vegetables like Tomatoes, Eggplant,
Garlic, Cucumber, Ginger, Cauliflower, fruits, Tea, Green Tea, Jute bag, Amla
Powder Soaps, Perfume were demonstrated.
The highlight of the poster making was that the students
were making use of natural colours to paint like yellow colour from Turmeric,
Red colour from Beet Root, Black colour from coal etc. Students
came up with very innovative ideas and brightly painted their thought into
catchy poster and inspiring slogans.
In this
process students were guided and motivated by their teachers who also were
keenly involved with the students. The overall presentation of organic products
and power point presentation was enjoyed Ms. Karishma Nagpal Playing the role
of mentors. Ms. Latika, Ms. Gurmeet,Ms, Pooja,Ms. Preeti ,Ms, Parul actively guided
the students.Ms. Roopali and Mr. Amit the ISA coordinator played the pivotal
role in the entire activity. Our Headmistress Ms. Geeta Oberai was the wind
behind the wings for the success of this program.
To keep the
body in a good healthy duty otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind
strong and clear. Organic cultural is spreading in response to the seismic
shifts. The consumer preference to the good health and well being and
gravitation towards more fresh and natural and organic food.
