“THE ART OF COMMUNICATION IS THE LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP”
Under the able guidance of the
Principal Dr. Racchna Saddi, students of Sumermal Jain Public school
participated whole heartedly in a collaborative activity on different Art forms.
The art form taught was – Warli, a folk art from the State of Maharashtra.
It was an interesting
and interactive Teaching – Learning Process under the ISA action plan Art –
Mosaic – A Cultural Blend. Ms. Fatima, ISA coordinator, along with her team of
Govt. Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan was contacted for Skype session
followed by a video call on 20.11.19 at 10.15 a.m.
The session began by exchanging warm
greetings from both sides. Our beloved Principal Dr. Racchna Saddi along with
revered Headmistress Mrs. Geeta Oberai interacted briefly with the team.
The students co-ordinator Aashima
Sondhi of class X explained few things based on Warli Painting, like – its background, history, colours used, shapes
and step – by – step process very efficiently. Students of class IX –XI participated
in this session along with the Art teacher Mrs. Preeti Ahluwalia. They painted
different paintings based on Warli Art form using white and black sheets along
with black and white board markers and vibrant colours.
ISA coordinators Mrs. Roopali Sinha
and Mr. Amit Kushwaha along with Science teacher Ms. Parul and English teacher
Ms. Anjali showed immense enthusiasm during the whole session. Mr. Arvind
handled the hardware technicalities efficiently.
The first of its type, the session
was very enriching and wonderful as the teachers from Pakistan along with their
students learnt
the Warli Art form on Skype and drew different paintings on the spot which they
sent later through Whatsapp.
It was an immensely wonderful session where the
teachers and the students of two different countries cordially exchanged their
ideas and culture related to Warli Art. It was appreciated by the
teachers and students of Govt Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan. Their response elated the
whole team of Sumermal Jain Public School, India.
The whole session was a huge success
as everyone present there enjoyed the presentation and gained knowledge about
the Warli Art Form.
