ART MOSAIC – A CULTURAL BLEND



Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India in collaboration with G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan organised an interesting Interactive Teaching Learning Process under the ISA action plan – Art Mosaic – A Cultural Blend, on 21st November 2019.




A team of students of classes IX- XI along with Art teacher Mrs. Preeti Ahluwalia of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India painted different paintings based on Madhubani Art form using a canvas, paint brush and base colours like red, yellow, blue, green etc.


Student representative Aashima Sondhi of class X explained important points on Madhubani Art Form with the help of a Power Point presentation. She also gave information about the history of Madhubani Art Form, shapes used in the particular art form and demonstrated the step by step procedure of making the Madhubani paintings to the students of G.G.H.S Hassan, Pakistan.


ISA coordinator of Pakistan Ms. Fatima Mehboob along with her students enthusiastically participated in a collaborative activity on Madhubani Art form from the state of Bihar in a Skype session followed by video calling.



A spectacular display of Madhubani paintings put up by the students of Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India enthralled one and all present there including the students and teachers of Pakistan. They also tried to make the Madhubani paintings in a lively manner.







The event was graced by the Headmistress Mrs. Geeta Oberai along with ISA coordinators Mrs. Roopali Sinha and Mr. Amit Kushwaha. Mrs. Anjali guided Ashima to explain the style of painting succinctly.










Beautiful paintings, stole, table mats, coasters, artifacts, and large sized Madhubani paintings made by Sumermal Jain Public School, New Delhi, India were displayed during the session.


This International Interactive Teaching Learning Process provided the students of both the countries a platform to interact and gain a basic understanding of Madhubani Art Form. The initiative taken by the schools of both the countries was applauded by one and all present there.
