MY PROMISE TO THE ENVIRONMENT: GOING GREEN AND CLEAN


ISA ACTIVITY NO – 7

“ The real cure for our environmental problems is to understand that our job is to salvage Mother Earth”.




At SMJPS, the students and the teachers strive constantly to make any enterprise a success, be it in the field of Science, technology or an IAS activity on awareness about Environment and issues related to it, they have surpassed glory with pride and forever smiling faces.
                                                 

On 17th Dec 2019, a Skype session was organised by the students of SMJPS in collaboration with Alkawthar High School, Beirut, Lebanon on Environment and various issues related to it. It was a very interactive session in which students of both the countries asked various questions on different environmental issues.





Students of classes IX and XI conducted the whole session enthusiastically and answered all the questions asked by the students of Alkawthar High School, Beirut.













Questions asked by the students of both the countries were based on various topics like Bhopal Gas Tradegy, Uttrakhand Floods, forest fibres, global warming, Air pollution in Delhi and Plastic pollution etc. This kind of on the spot discussion on different topics related to environment was one of its kinds, where students of both the countries interacted very impressively.









The guide teachers Dr. R.P. Singh, Mrs. Vidhu Trikha, Mrs. Asha Nagpal and Mrs. Ritika Handa along with their students put a lot of efforts in making this endeavour a grand success.
ISA coordinator Mrs. Roopali Sinha And Mr. Amit Kushwaha appreciated the assiduous efforts made by the students and their guide teachers.






ISA coordinator of Lebanon Maysaa Jaffal appreciated the sincere attempt made by the students of both the countries and also mentioned that she would look forward to organise these kind of interactive sessions in the near future with the students of SMJPS, New Delhi, India.

In a nutshell, the whole impressive interactive session was a huge success where students got aware of various environmental issues, their reasons and remedies.

BRAINSTORMING SESSION ON GROWING IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS

An in-house activity on growing importance of organic products was held on 31st Aug’19 with cent percent participation of class VI students of SMJPS. The venue of this session was the lively Indira Devi Auditorium. This session was designed so that the kids learnt a lot about the importance of chemical free product in their daily life. Students were divided into four teams representing the countries of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and our own motherland India. The kids had dedicatedly collected data related to the topic with the help of internet, newspapers, journals and magazines. ART MOSAIC: A CULTURAL BLEND

“THE ART OF COMMUNICATION IS THE LANGUAGE OF LEADERSHIP” Under the able guidance of the Principal Dr. Racchna Saddi, students of Sumermal Jain Public school participated whole heartedly in a collaborative activity on different Art forms. The art form taught was – Warli, a folk art from the State of Maharashtra. It was an interesting and interactive Teaching – Learning Process under the ISA action plan Art – Mosaic – A Cultural Blend. Ms. Fatima, ISA coordinator, along with her team of Govt. Girls High School, Hassan, Pakistan was contacted for Skype session followed by a video call on 20.11.19 at 10.15 a.m. The session began by exchanging warm greetings from both sides.
