Festivals-Collective Heritage

ISA ACTVITY NO. 3

Exhibition-PTM

Life is all about happiness and as human beings social interaction with our fellow beings not only bring happiness but also helps us grow our capacity to learn languages, familiarise ourselves with cultures, inquire, think, play and work.

Festivals can contribute immensely to feeling of social cohesion. They are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions. Every festival has its own importance and meaning. It is very essential to equip our children with the knowledge and understanding about the different festivals, cultures, religions etc., practiced in different countries across the globe.

To help them learn about this diversity in the world the students of classes III-V were asked to create scrapbooks during their winter vacation. They were asked to look for information regarding the way different festivals are celebrated in India, France, Japan, Spain and the USA.

They showed great enthusiasm in collecting information from the internet, television, their parents and teachers, read books and articles. They came out with exquisitely stunning scrapbooks.

Their amazing work was showcased in an exhibition during the Parent Teacher Meeting on 11th March 2020

The parents and teachers were enthralled to witness the event and see the work brimming with creativity. The guide teacher Ms. Deepti Mallik was present throughout the exhibition to assist the parents and watch them admire the work of her little students.

Ms. Rupali Sinha, the ISA coordinator also appreciates the efforts of the children. Ms. Shaloo Nanda, the coordinator for the event applauded the efforts of the children and praised her fellow teacher for her efforts.
